Report to Senior Manager for Network Administration on Secured Network and maintain Efficient Operation of the entire Network Infrastructure & computing Environment.
The Network Engineer shall undertake the role of Network Administrator (NA) to Design, Implement, Manage and Maintain Network Infrastructure, Switches & Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) across Production & Test Environment to ensure operational readiness & availability with 24x7 uptime.
Manage IP Address assignment and DNS Configurations.
Daily Monitor Network performance, Port Controls, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Provide End user’s helpdesk Support and Respond to and resolve networking outages or incidents promptly.
Ensure Network Security by Implementing Security Measures and System that are aligned to Authority IT Policies and guidelines. (eg Hardening of Network Switches, Encryptions, Mac Address Control, VLAN & ACL, Network Access Control).
Perform regular reviews and implement upgrades, Security patches and hot fixes on Cisco/Nexus Switches as necessary to ensure compliance.
Perform Switches Configurations/Settings backups and restoration and recovery when required.
Maintain IT Asset inventory and Documentation of Network diagram, Switches Configuration & Setting for standardization and knowledge retention.
Perform Capacity planning for Network Expansion, evaluate and recommend new network technologies & products.
Collaborate with IT Teams (Servers & Storage, Computers, Application & Database) to integrate new Technologies/systems into the Network.
Liase with vendors & internal stakeholder on Network Cabling works (eg Laying of New LAN cables during Office Renovation.)
Provide after office hour support & response for Infrastructure related emergencies (eg Datacenter Power Outages, Hardware Failures) and Schedule weekend System Maintenance/Upgrades.
Support Business Continuity Plans & Disaster Recovery exercise related to Networking.
Support all audit and compliance activities.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Network Administration.
Qualified and trained in Network Administration of Cisco/Nexus Switches. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification will be an advantage.
Good Knowledge and Proficiency in configuring and managing LAN, WAN, VPN, NAC and VLANs.
Familiarity with Network monitoring and Diagnostic tools (eg. PRTG).
Liaise with vendors, internal stakeholders and/or end users to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Strong Analytical and Resourceful in finding resolution for Technical issues; ability to self-learn, acquire new skills and support new systems and applications.
Adaptable to changes with a positive attitude.
Good interpersonal skills across inter departments.
Self-driven, ability to work independently and as team player.
