Job Description
What is the opportunity?
This is an opportunity to embed yourself at the heart of one of the world's leading equity research platforms. RBC Capital Markets' Global Research platform is recognized globally for the quality and depth of its coverage, and this role places you directly at the centre of its operations - working closely with the COO and senior leadership to drive the insights and analytics that power decision-making across the platform. You will gain unparalleled exposure to the full breadth of a global capital markets business, building relationships with research professionals, sales and trading teams, investors, and coverage companies across Canada and around the world. The analytical, financial, and operational skills you develop here are deeply transferable and will position you for a wide range of opportunities within capital markets and beyond. If you are looking for a high-impact role where no two days are the same and where your contributions are seen and valued at the most senior levels, this is it.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will support and manage strategic initiatives on behalf of senior management, while conducting data management, financial tracking, and analysis for the Global Research Department. You will develop and produce analytics for senior leadership and generate ad hoc reports for management, stakeholders, and clients. The role also requires regular collaboration with a broad range of internal teams — including QTS, Marketing, Sales & Trading, Procurement, Market Data, and Compliance — as well as external clients and vendors.
What You'll Need to Succeed
The ideal candidate holds an undergraduate degree in Business or Finance and brings advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and database management and have embraced the power of AI. You are a strong communicator who can engage effectively with internal partners, clients, and vendors across a global environment. You have sharp analytical skills, are highly detail-oriented, and can synthesize large datasets into meaningful trends and insights. You are energetic, self-motivated, and thrive under pressure while consistently meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
Familiarity with Capital Markets products, processes, and systems is an asset, as is a background in a Research or Sales and Trading support environment.
What’s in it for you?
We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.
A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses, flexible benefits and competitive compensation.
Opportunities to learn continuously and develop professionally
Opportunities to build close relationships with coverage companies, investors and others internally within Capital Markets
Access to a variety of job opportunities across business and geographies
