The Project Tender Analyst is a key support function to the Tender Manager and the overall U.S. & Canada Project team, focused on supporting customers building new or expanded energy, industrial, mining, or government facilities. The position is responsible for sourcing logistics cost and service details to support proposals for Project Logistics customers while helping drive new business through competitive procurement, technical expertise, and innovative solutions.
Essential Functions
- Assist with tender management processes including development of response formats, pricing matrices, responding to queries, and timely submission of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
- Accumulate, analyze, and compile all data into final, customer-ready proposals aligned with company standards
- Record tender details in proposal logs, track submissions, and follow up internally on status and customer feedback
- Analyze tender requirements and coordinate deliverables across internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete submissions
- Analyze small, large, and/or complex multi-shipment RFPs to determine optimal routing and mode of transport that meet service and delivery requirements
- Develop comprehensive cost models using internal pricing tools and external subcontractor quotations (carriers, trucking companies, terminals, warehouses, heavy haul providers, etc.)
- Engage subcontractors and leverage internal pricing structures to build competitive and executable logistics solutions
- Apply creative and “outside the box” thinking to develop effective transportation strategies, recognizing multiple solution paths and identifying the most efficient and cost-effective option
- Understand and account for constraints associated with project logistics and out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments to ensure feasibility and proper planning
- Finalize proposals in alignment with JAS commercial strategy, incorporating technical details, execution methodologies, and value-added service offerings
- Maintain awareness of market conditions, carrier capabilities, and pricing trends to ensure competitive positioning
- Assist in drafting technical service descriptions and execution plans for complex industrial and project cargo movements
- Support the development of standardized templates, pricing tools, and technical documentation for recurring tender requirements
- Maintain subcontractor databases and internal technical resource libraries
- Participate in subcontractor and customer meetings as requested
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with internal stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors
- Ensure all proposals, emails, and documentation reflect strong writing quality and professionalism
- Provide timely responses to all inquiries and collaborate cross-functionally across global teams
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, tools, and overall efficiency within the tendering and pricing function
- Support market intelligence efforts including competitive pricing analysis, capabilities, and service offerings
- Participate in post-bid analysis for both successful and unsuccessful tenders to identify trends and improvement opportunities

Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in pricing and logistics solution design
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions, and pivot tables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce technical and commercial documentation
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Creativity, innovation, and patience to manage detailed and often manual processes
- Working knowledge of construction and industrial project logistics, including the movement of materials from suppliers and fabricators to final job sites
- Familiarity with key logistics service providers such as ocean carriers, trucking companies, terminal operators, warehouses, and heavy haul operators
Education and Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Economics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics pricing and tender management, with 1–2 years in project logistics or project pricing preferred
- In lieu of pricing experience, minimum 5 years of operational experience in Project Logistics
- Experience in construction/industrial logistics, including oversized and complex cargo, strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working on industrial projects (energy, infrastructure, mining, etc.), with the ability to share examples of planning and successful project wins

100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
