Lead Engineer – Land Infrastructure

We’re expanding our Tauranga team and looking for a Lead Engineer to help deliver complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.

You’ll work across transport, land development, utilities, water and government projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver practical infrastructure solutions. The role combines technical delivery, client engagement, and mentoring junior engineers within a growing regional team.

How You’ll Contribute: 

• Deliver civil infrastructure design across roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks and land development projects within transport, water, energy and government sectors
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and design documentation to budget and deadlines
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers
• Support proposal preparation and project delivery across the national Land Infrastructure team
• Work directly with clients to understand challenges and develop practical engineering solutions

What are we looking for from you?  

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
• Around 10+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure design
• Experience delivering roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks and pavement design
• Practical knowledge of industry software such as 12d or Civil 3D
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with clients and stakeholders
• A collaborative and positive mindset, interested in mentoring and developing engineers
