The Aeroderivative Engineering Program Manager (R&D) is a key role within Gas Power Engineering, supporting program management efforts that help advance Aeroderivative technology. In this role, you will coordinate execution across R&D programs, partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, support resource planning, and help manage risks, while contributing to the delivery of business and engineering objectives.
Job Description
What you’ll do
- Support execution of key R&D program activities, coordinating across Finance, Operations, Product Management, Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Gas Power, Aero Alliance JV, and GE Aerospace to help support on-time delivery.
- Support day-to-day program execution for assigned scopes, including tracking deliverables, maintaining momentum against commitments, and escalating issues as needed.
- Assist in developing and maintaining integrated program plans and schedules, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, interdependencies, and schedule updates, to help align execution with business priorities and critical milestones.
- Track program financial performance against budget, identify variances, risks, and opportunities, and partner with stakeholders to support cost awareness and financial predictability.
- Identify program risks, issues, and execution gaps early, and support timely mitigation plans in partnership with functional teams and program leadership.
- Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven updates, reports, and presentations to leadership and stakeholders on schedule performance, budget status, resource needs, key risks, and decisions needed.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships in a complex, matrixed environment to align priorities, clarify ownership, and support effective execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in aeroderivative engineering program management processes, tools, and operating rhythms by applying standard work and best practices in budgeting, scheduling, tracking, and stakeholder communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, engineering program management, project management, or a related function.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Good understanding of tactical and strategic business planning.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional working relationships

- Experience supporting program budgets, tracking actuals, and contributing to accurate financial forecasts.

- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated use of AI/agentic AI for continuous process improvement and automation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, or PowerBI.
- Ability to adapt to changing program needs.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
