What you’ll do:
This position is responsible for all front-end duties in the mailroom, including maintenance calls for the postage machine, preparing all outgoing mail bags, applying postage to all outgoing Canada Post mail, sorting incoming mail and couriers, scanning of Canada Post mail, handling mailroom communication and courier requests/deliveries, mailroom email.
Receiving, sorting and distribution of all external mail and courier packages, including but not limited to, opening and sorting through any unaddressed packages, sorting mail into the appropriate slots, notifying individuals –as required using Envoy when their packages have arrived.
Sending of all internal mail and courier packages to satellite offices and stores, including printing off the courier labels, bagging and sealing all mail, preparing bags with courier labels and sorting to cages for courier pick-ups, stamping all Canada Post mail and sorting to appropriate bins for pick-up.
Rerouting any misguided shipments to the appropriate locations or people.
Oversee the use of the postage machine, ensuring that when postage is running low, notification is provided to the Office and Facility Manager for a postage cheque.
Keep record of shipments for 30 days.
Ensure all outgoing courier packages have a completed Outbound Mail form with the appropriate GL Code noted on the form, and any paperwork has been completed for any international shipments being sent out.
Keep the front-end mail room and loading dock tidy and in order
Organize the mail slots, as needed, when more stores are brought under the FGL banner.
Record all inbound courier packages using Envoy.
Catalogue all outbound mail items.
Replenish Postage Meter when required.
Assist with incoming couriers, signing for packages as required.
Assist in maintaining the order and structure within the loading dock, ensuring a safe work environment, including properly storing all skids, dollies and carts, area is kept clutter free, dollies and carts are kept out of the main areas and stored properly.
Follow up on any packages that have not arrived at their intended destinations.
Provide tracking numbers to employees in a timely manner.
Occupational Health and Safety Committee Member.
Assist within the team as required.

What you bring:
Experienced Customer Service
Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
Some heavy lifting is required.
Familiarity with pallet jacks
Flexibility in ability to work on short notice.
Strong organizational skills.
Outgoing and personable
Detail oriented and works well under pressure and strict deadlines.
6 to 12 months previous experience with Courier shipping systems an asset.
First Aid Certified. (nice to have)

Broadband Salary Range: $30,000 – $50,000 CAD.
Our typical hiring range is between $30,000 and $40,000 CAD. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
