

Job Summary
The Corporate Affairs Specialist - External Communications, is accountable for the execution of public relations and social media content, approvals management and communication plans for external channels to include media responses, speaking engagements, awards, press releases and social media content. This role will create, and measure external campaigns, channel execution and content, and will directly work and collaborate with our U.S.-based Corporate Affairs team, external public relations firm and the India leadership team.
Essential Job Functions
Execute, track and measure public relations and digital channel communications for the company's external presence, including media responses, speaking engagements, awards, press releases and social media content and digital assets. Continuously identify new opportunities for storytelling to increase brand awareness. - (40%)
Develop content and plans for external communication in collaboration with internal partners (People and Culture, Sustainability, Technology, etc.), public relations firm, and leadership team. - (40%)
Build relationships with internal teams, external partners and broader Corporate Affairs/Sustainability Team to effectively create communications. - (10%)
Articulate public relations and digital strategies, and leverage business knowledge to make informed recommendations. - (10%)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
2+ years of experience working in communications.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience coordinating and executing external communications.

Work Environment
Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.
