About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Performance Engineering Senior Engineer who loves retail and has a passion for delivering best-in-class experiences for consumers and strong performance engineering platforms and tools.
In this role, you will help design, build, and operate AI-enabled capabilities and systems for performance, load, and chaos testing for our e-Commerce and Retail systems in the cloud and on edge devices. You will contribute to evolving the platform used to measure performance and resilience of Levis digital systems.
This role is Latin America based and will collaborate with India- and US-based teams executing performance, load, and chaos testing.
The role involves building internal tooling and adapting best-in-breed tools to measure performance and resilience across our enterprise.
These systems support work developed by squads in eCommerce and Retail systems for all global markets.
About You
Experienced Performance Engineering practitioner with 4+ years’ experience testing performance, load and chaos for enterprise projects
Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction through collaboration and hands-on contribution
2+ years experience in cloud systems – Google Cloud Services, Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure
Subject matter expertise in K6, LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, Gremlin and related systems
Exposure to DotCom Monitor and/ Load View for front end performance testing
Experience generating site performance metrics aligned with PSI and CrUX, with good judgment about what to measure and how to present results to stakeholders for decision making
2 years+ experience using monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Noibu, Dynatrace or similar systems
Strong development skills in languages such as C# and Java
Strong curiosity and exploration in the use of GenAI and Agentic AI to partner with human engineers in getting work done in better ways
Demonstrated experience contributing to platform engineering and platform design, specifically in performance platforms
Proven track record of delivering process improvements and implementing scalable performance testing solutions.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to interpret monitoring and derive recommendations / actions.
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in Performance Engineering
Comprehensive understanding of Agile, DevOps and Lean Software principles.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Masters degree preferred. Demonstrated work experience designing and implementing test automation tools is acceptable in place of education.
