About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Consultant - Storage and Back-up to design, position, and deliver complex, multi‑vendor technology solutions for resellers and end customers.
This role combines pre‑sales architecture and hands‑on deployment, with a strong focus on storage and back‑up solutions. You will work closely with partners, vendors, and internal sales teams, acting as a trusted technical expert throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
Design and define multi‑technology storage and backup solutions aligned with customer requirements.
Consult with resellers and end customers to create bespoke technical architectures.
Deliver architected solutions on customer sites to a high standard.
Co‑own and project manage the technical elements of sales opportunities through to closure.
Manage internal and external resources (vendors and partners) delivering complex solutions.
Support internal and external sales teams with technical input for quotations in line with SLAs.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key technical stakeholders.
Conduct customer site visits with resellers and end users.
Deliver technical and sales enablement sessions internally and externally (non‑core activity).
Maintain technical accreditations and continuously develop industry and portfolio knowledge.
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience in pre‑sales solution design and technical deployment
Ability to translate customer requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions
Experience working with vendors, partners, and end customers in a channel environment
Strong project coordination, planning, and prioritisation skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and strong stakeholder management capabilities
Good understanding of the IT industry, including channel, vendors, competitors, and end users
Technical Skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
Experience with Compass and Business Warehouse is desirable
Previous exposure to e‑business systems
Broad knowledge of relevant product and technology portfolio
