Certified Welding Inspector - CWI (Northeastern USA)

Pennoni is currently seeking welding inspector with AWS certification for Quality Assurance Inspection in New England during fabrication shops producing bridge and highway structures for transportation agencies.

Required experience is consistent with, but not limited to:

• Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
• Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
• Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
• Production of daily written shop reports

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High School
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well independently and with others
• Reliable transportation
• Experience performing QA/QC during steel bridge and highway fabrication is a plus.
• Non-Destructive Testing certifications (e.g.: UT, RT, MT, PT) is a plus.
• AWS D1.1/D1.5 experience is a plus.
• Coating inspection experience is a plus.
