Senior Ruby Developer

Retail Food Group is looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to develop and enhance our QSR ecommerce platform, delivering seamless user experiences and translating business needs into innovative technical solutions across our national network.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop and maintain features for our ecommerce platform using Ruby on Rails
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Help deliver a seamless, user-friendly experience for both Franchisees and Retail customers
• Contribute to platform enhancements focused on usability, accessibility and performance
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation, processes and development procedures
• Support ongoing platform improvements, troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Assist with additional projects and initiatives as required by leadership team

Skills and Experience

•  5+ years’ experience in software development, including platform migration projects
• Advanced Ruby on Rails and MongoDB expertise
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, modern development practices and toolsets
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking and communication skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing external development partners
• Exposure to cloud-based POS systems and service bus architecture
• Experience with Azure, AWS or other cloud platforms will be highly regarded
• Knowledge of Python and/or PHP is advantageous
