Rivers Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Operating Room that preform the duties listed below:
Registered Nurse will provide direct care to the surgical patients with primary emphasis on the intraoperative period. Intraoperative activities are directly supervised by the surgeon. Follows departmental standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state of WV with three to five years nursing experience. Must have a written recommendation from the Surgical Service Manager and Chief of Surgery.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Two years current Operating Room experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Must demonstrate proficiency in Perioperative Nursing practice as both
scrub and circulator. Must be ACLS certified or obtainable within six
months. Must be able to perform effectively in stressful and emergency
situations. Ability to perform effectively and harmoniously as a member of the operative team. Familiarity with functions, standards, regulations, policies, and procedures. Must demonstrate the ability to meet the special needs of all patients including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics. If on call, must be able to report to duty within 20 minutes. Knowledge and skills will be taught on the job by the various surgeons who work in PVH Operating Room.
