Welder/Fabricator role is an essential role within the manufacturing sector, responsible for constructing and assembling metal structures and components in line with detailed specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and safety standards required in the industry. Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are key for success in this position.
What You Will Be Doing • Execute welding, cutting, and fabrication of metal components using various techniques (MIG, TIG, and Arc) in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. • Inspecting completed work to ensure quality and safety standards are met • Maintaining equipment and ensuring work areas remain clean and organised • Working collaboratively with the wider production team to achieve operational targets • Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times About You • Proficiency in various welding procedures, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding • Understanding of safety procedures, welding code standards (such as ISO 9606), and quality assurance processes. • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and blueprints. • Previous experience within a welding or fabrication environment • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications • Committed to working safely and maintaining high standards • Relevant welding qualifications or certifications are advantageous
