Job Overview You will support process improvement initiatives at our last-mile delivery stations. Your work will focus on streamlining the flow of packages through the facility, optimizing MHE utilization, creating and driving adoption of standard operational procedures, and improving driver dispatch cycles to ensure high on-time delivery rates. Job Requirements • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of X.X • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States pursuing an Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive) • Experience with creating drawings/designs within AutoCAD • Ability to travel domestically across the U.S. and work flexible hours during Key Responsibilities • MHE Optimization: Analyze the performance and layout of material handling systems, including conveyor sorters, and pallet jacks to reduce bottlenecks. • Last-Mile Process Improvement: Use of Lean Six Sigma/ DMAICto map the "order-to-delivery" value stream, specifically targeting reductions in driver dwell time and load-out duration. • Station Throughput: Conduct time and motion studies on manual sorting and overall production processes to establish engineered labor standards in conjunction with Safety, Ergonomic, and Engineering standards. • Facility Layout & Flow: Use AutoCAD to design and iterate on warehouse floor plans, improving the spatial configuration of MHE and staging areas for delivery vehicles, reducing process TAKT times, and utilizing space in the most efficient way. • Data-Driven Decision Making: Build dashboards in Excel or in-house tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) like Cost Per Package (CPP) and Under the Roof Time (UTR). Make data-driven decisions using analysis through various platforms to track and drive improvement in operational performance KPIs. • Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Creation: Writing detailed SOPs for Operators to execute to, across various areas of the operation. Each SOP will be required to test through pilot at calculated locations.
