Principal, Product Manager Haystack Gold | Supply Chain Division location: Remote (U.S.) | Full-Time THE OPPORTUNITY Accuris is the world's leading provider of engineering and supply chain intelligence, trusted by thousands of organizations to accelerate design, reduce risk, and keep mission-critical programs running. Our Haystack Gold platform is the go-to defense logistics intelligence solution for the U.S. military, government agencies, and aerospace & defense primes — covering 350M+ part references across 70+ datasets and helping clients win billions in government contracts. We are looking for a Director of Product Management to own the end-to-end product strategy for Haystack Gold, lead and up-skill a talented PM team, and deepen our footprint across the defense, government, and A&D supply chain market. This is a player-coach role: you will set the operating model, drive product discovery and delivery, and mentor your team to raise the collective bar on craft and domain expertise. If you know how defense organizations source parts, navigate DLA systems, and manage supply chain risk — and you love building both great products and great product teams — this role is for you. --- WHAT YOU'LL DO Product Strategy & Ownership - Define and own the multi-year product vision and roadmap for Haystack Gold, aligned to business growth targets and the needs of defense, government, and A&D customers. - Translate deep market and customer insight into a prioritized, outcome-oriented backlog that balances new capability development, platform sustainability, and compliance requirements. - Drive product discovery — customer interviews, competitive analysis, market sizing, and win/loss reviews — to continuously sharpen the product strategy. - Own the product operating model end-to-end: vision, OKRs, roadmap, discovery, delivery, and go-to-market alignment. Team Leadership & Up-Skilling - Lead, coach, and grow a team of Product Managers, establishing clear expectations for product craft, rigor, and accountability. - Build a culture of customer-centricity: instill structured discovery habits, hypothesis-driven development, and outcome-over-output thinking across the PM team. - Develop PM capabilities in defense and government domain knowledge — from understanding NSN/CAGE/FSC systems and DLA procurement cycles to ITAR compliance considerations. - Run regular cadences (roadmap reviews, retrospectives, 1:1s) that keep the team aligned, growing, and performing. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership - Partner with Sales, Solutions, and Marketing to shape go-to-market strategy, pricing, and packaging for defense-sector customers. - Work closely with Engineering and Data to maintain a clear and healthy development pipeline that delivers value on a predictable cadence. - Present roadmap, strategy, and performance to executive stakeholders with clarity and confidence. - Represent the voice of the customer in all product decisions, ensuring the needs of procurement professionals, program managers, engineers, and logistics teams are well understood and acted upon. --- WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required - 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years managing or mentoring other PMs. - Demonstrated expertise in the product operating model: you can run discovery, articulate strategy, write compelling opportunity statements, and hold a team accountable to outcomes. - Experience with B2B data or intelligence products — you understand data quality, coverage, and integration workflows as product problems. - Proven ability to synthesize complex market dynamics into a sharp, defensible product strategy. - Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior executives and engaging directly with customers and prospects. Strongly Preferred - Experience in or deep familiarity with the government, military, or aerospace & defense supply chain sector — including knowledge of NSNs, CAGE codes, FSC, DLA systems, or federal procurement processes. - Background working with defense contractors, OEMs, or government agencies on parts management, obsolescence, or logistics programs. - Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to defense supply chains (e.g., ITAR, DFARS, QPL/QML). - Experience building or scaling a PM practice — introducing frameworks, rituals, and standards that elevate the team's output. Nice to Have - Familiarity with enterprise data integration patterns (APIs, ETL, PLM/ERP connectors). - Prior experience at a B2B SaaS or data intelligence company serving regulated industries. - Experience with product-led growth or usage-based pricing models. --- WHY ACCURIS — WHY NOW Haystack Gold is the market leader in defense logistics intelligence, and we're at an inflection point. With 350M+ part references, 70+ datasets, and a global customer base spanning 37 countries, the foundation is strong. The opportunity ahead is to deepen the product's intelligence layer, expand into adjacent workflows, and sharpen the experience for the next generation of defense supply chain professionals. This Director role is a genuine leadership position at a company where product has a seat at the table. You will shape how we build, not just what we build. --- WHAT WE OFFER - Base salary up to US$180,000 plus a 15% annual bonus target - Fully remote work environment (U.S.-based) - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits - Generous PTO and a culture that respects time off - A mission that matters: helping defense and government organizations maintain readiness and reduce supply chain risk --- About Company Statement: We provide the world's engineers mission-critical intelligence, safeguarding the technology of today and enabling the breakthroughs of tomorrow.
