As a Lead Data Analyst in CAO, you will act as a senior Power BI and analytics specialist, bridging complex enterprise data platforms with executive‑level insights. The role focuses on delivering scalable, high‑performance Power BI solutions, leveraging modern data platforms (including Databricks‑based Lakehouse architectures) to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
You will own the full analytics solution lifecycle—from understanding business requirements and querying curated data layers, through to delivering intuitive, performant dashboards adopted by senior stakeholders.
Lead the end‑to‑end design, development, and maintenance of enterprise‑grade Power BI dashboards, from concept through production deployment.
Translate complex business questions into robust analytical models, ensuring clarity, consistency, and scalability for self‑service BI consumption.
Develop advanced DAX measures and calculated tables to support complex analytical requirements such as year‑to‑date analysis, period‑over‑period comparisons, and cohort‑based insights.
Design and maintain optimized data models using best‑practice dimensional modeling techniques (e.g., star schemas) to ensure performance and usability.
Optimize Power BI performance through query folding, efficient model design, cardinality management, and visual optimization.
Administer Power BI Service environments, including workspace management, row‑level security (RLS), dataset refresh scheduling, and gateway configurations.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to connect Power BI solutions to curated Lakehouse “Gold” layers, ensuring reliable and performant reporting datasets.
Support data transformation and validation activities by working with SQL, Python, or notebook‑based workflows to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Partner with IT and business stakeholders, acting as a trusted analytics partner to gather requirements, communicate progress, and deliver data‑driven solutions aligned to business objectives — including executive dashboards, operational reporting, and analytics enablement..
Proactively identify data quality, pipeline, or availability issues, working with upstream teams to resolve root causes rather than treating symptoms.
Promote best practices in data visualization and storytelling, ensuring dashboards are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with executive decision‑making needs.
Monitor industry trends and emerging analytics capabilities, recommending enhancements to tools, standards, and ways of working.
Demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative, proactively identifying opportunities to improve reporting solutions, analytical processes, and data quality without waiting for direction, taking ownership of tasks from identification through to resolution
