- Strategic Stores Management: Develop and implement comprehensive store management strategies to optimize inventory turnover, reduce carrying costs, and ensure seamless availability of materials critical to power plant operations and maintenance.
- Inventory Control & Optimization: Oversee accurate inventory tracking, stock reconciliation, and demand forecasting using advanced inventory management systems to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of store executives and warehouse personnel, driving high performance, adherence to safety standards, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Collaborate closely with procurement teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance for compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance & Safety Adherence: Ensure that all store operations comply with corporate policies, statutory regulations, and health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a safe workplace environment.
- Process Improvement & Digitalization: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and lead digital transformation initiatives within the stores function, leveraging technology for automated stock management and reporting.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the stores budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising operational efficiency.
- Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams: Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, procurement, and finance teams to align inventory strategies with business objectives and project timelines.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate timely and accurate reports on stock levels, usage patterns, variances, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify risks related to inventory, storage conditions, and supply chain disruptions, and develop mitigation plans to safeguard continuous operations.
- Adani Culture & Values Champion: Embody and promote Adani’s values by encouraging ethical practices, sustainability initiatives, and community engagement within the stores function.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA will be an added advantage.
Certification Required
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent certification.
- Inventory Management or Warehouse Management certification is preferred.
- Safety Management certifications related to industrial stores operations will be beneficial.
