4–8 years of experience in manual testing.
Strong domain knowledge in Payments systems.
Hands-on experience in SWIFT messaging and transaction validation.
Understanding of: Cross-border payments, Payment hubs and clearing systems, Message formats (MT & MX)
Understanding of: Global clearing systems (CHIPS, Fedwire, TARGET2, SEPA), Liquidity and nostro reconciliation processes, SWIFT Alliance / SWIFT interfaces
Payment processing platforms involving real-time and batch processing
Experience in validating:
Inbound & outbound SWIFT flows
Exception queues and repair workflows
Sanctions screening and compliance checks
Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using tools like Postman, SoapUI.
Knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
Experience in test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.).
Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber).
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.Perform functional, integration, and system testing for payments applications with focus on SWIFT messaging flows.Validate end-to-end payment lifecycle, including initiation, processing, settlement, and reconciliation.Work extensively with SWIFT message types such as MT103, MT202, MT202 COV, MT940, MT950, and ISO 20022 formats (MX messages like pacs.008, pacs.009).Analyze payment workflows, including cross-border transactions, nostro/vostro accounts, and liquidity management.Understand and validate message transformations and mappings between upstream/downstream systems.Manual Testing, Unix scripting , Python scripting, Ctrl-M configuration, NSE/BSE market knowledge – Cash and F&O segment, Knowledge of Trade processing workflow – Front office to back office. Handling Audits– Internal & external (System, ITGC, Cybersec, broking). Change management ,vendor co-ordination and DR/BCP.ENIT and BEFS Portal. NEAT/BOLT application supportment. Invoice processing – SIFY, BSE
