In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising HV and LV field crews, subcontractors, plant and equipment, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll:
- Lead day-to-day field operations across construction, maintenance and fault response work
- Plan and schedule work programmes to optimise resources and meet delivery targets
- Provide technical leadership, including HV/LV live work practices
- Monitor site performance, quality, productivity and commercial outcomes
- Identify risks, manage variations and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Build strong relationships with Vector and other key stakeholders
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering critical infrastructure while developing your team and driving performance on site.

You’re an experienced and credible leader with a strong technical background in electricity distribution and a passion for safe, high-quality delivery. Confident to lead crews and supervise field operations, you will be well equipped to mentor, and develop crews to support upcoming industry growth.
You’ll bring:
- Line Mechanic registration and current EWRB practising licence
- Glove & Barrier (G&B) qualification
- National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Level 4)
- Strong knowledge of SMEI and HV/LV safe work practices
- Demonstrated experience leading crews and supervising field operations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with high attention to detail
- Full Class 1 driver’s licence
