The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting leads enterprise financial reporting and analysis to support execution of our strategy. You will oversee the development and governance of financial reports and models, ensures integrity of the enterprise financial data ecosystem, and delivers clear, relevant insights for senior leadership. You will continue our move to automate manual processes leveraging GCP and data syncs. You will report to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and help ensure accurate and decision ready financial information across the organization.
In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783 or Boston, MA 02110.

Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with important partners across the enterprise; partner with business leaders to provide financial leadership and decision support for programs with material financial impact.
- Lead enterprise financial reporting, including preparation and oversight of executive‑ready reporting packages, profit‑and‑loss statements, forecasts, trend analyses, and performance insights.
- Manage and enhance the enterprise financial data ecosystem to ensure accurate reporting and provide clear, applicable commentary on financial results.
- Provide oversight and direction to ensure financial analyses, models, and reporting are aligned with enterprise standards and support decision‑making.
- Develop advanced financial models supporting actuals, forecasts, projections, and industry benchmarking; deliver ad hoc financial and operational analyses to inform leadership decisions.
- Ensure appropriate enterprise metrics and scorecards are maintained to track performance against priorities.
- Present financial results and recommendations to senior leadership through clear, executive‑level communications.
- Develop a high‑performing financial reporting team; set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance assessments, and support professional growth.
- Lead with influence and expertise, contributing to department and enterprise leadership while promoting our mission and performance‑driven culture.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders.
- Strong consulting mindset with demonstrated experience evaluating the financial impact of business decisions.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, statutory, and management reporting.
- Advanced expertise in financial statements, forecasting, trend analysis, and financial problem‑solving techniques.
- Solid understanding of the insurance industry and competitive landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver customer‑driven financial solutions and insights.
- Travel requirement up to 5%
