Physician and Advanced Practice Recruiter
The ideal candidate will support the growth of Atlantic Health Physician and Advanced Practice Recruitment Team by managing logistics of the physician experience from training through sourcing and finally during their visit process to result in more cost-effective, expeditious and successful placement and retention of highly qualified physicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
- Recruit for vacant Physician and Advanced Practice Provider positions and other roles within the organization as assigned.
- Actively support sourcing including creation of marketing job posting, targeted email campaigns, target text messaging campaigns, direct outreach on systems like LinkedIn and/or Doximity.
- Establish and maintain effective partnering relationships with assigned departments, specifically Service Line Leadership and AMG Directors of Operation, to ensure their hiring and retention goals and objectives are achieved.
- Cultivate relationships with employed physicians and APPs to support retention and expansion of employee referral pool.
- Lead kick-off calls/meetings with all stakeholders (Service Line, Hospital leadership, Operations, local clinical leadership, etc) to ensure all parties are aligned and to clearly outline the requirements and ideal characteristics for new physician or APP.
- Maintain communication with candidates throughout the screen and interview process, as well as thorough the contracting process to ensure that the physician or APP remains engaged.
- Ensure a professional and enjoyable candidate experience throughout the selection and interviewing process.
- Maintain comprehensive list of all active physician searches and communicate regularly with Service Line Leadership, Operations and Hospital Leadership to ensure
- Exhibit at national and regional conferences as part of ongoing recruitment efforts to identify new physician prospects.
- Provides external and internal customers with appropriate service levels. Meets with employees and serves as liaison to external departments as necessary and delivers consistently accurate, efficient and professional service.
- Support outreach to residents and fellows within Atlantic Health including coordination of on-site workshops, orientation welcome sessions and system-wide webinars.
- Manage or support management of physician recruitment events to connect graduating residents/fellows with employed Atlantic Health physicians as well as clinical and administrative leadership with the intent to recruit top physician talent.
- Participate in other duties and responsibilities as assigned to recruit and retain physicians.

- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, and present Department in a positive manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization. Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients, including administrators, physicians, peers, and support staff.
- Exhibit a high energy level, demonstrate the ability to work as a team and be flexible as to meet the needs of the team.
- The ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
- The ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.
- Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct Internet research in an efficient, productive manner.
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Graduate or undergraduate concentration in Human Resources, Business, Nursing or Behavioral Sciences.
- Applicant experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
