What you'll do:
As an Assistant Vice President Global Markets Operations based in Hong Kong, you will be entrusted with significant responsibilities that underpin the effective functioning of the global market operations team. Your role will involve overseeing critical daily processes related to Forex and Money Market transactions while providing essential support to the Team Lead in supervising routine settlement activities. You will play an integral part in maintaining high standards of compliance with both local and international regulations by following established procedures meticulously. In addition to managing core operational tasks, you will have opportunities to contribute ideas for process improvements that drive greater efficiency across the department. Your ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels will be key as you help deliver accurate reporting on ad-hoc assignments and ensure that all service agreements are met consistently. This position offers a dynamic blend of hands-on operational work and strategic oversight within a supportive team environment.
Oversee daily operational duties related to Forex and Money Market activities as a checker, ensuring all transaction processing, confirmations, and payments are completed accurately and timely.
Support the Team Lead in monitoring daily processing tasks such as Deal Booking Control, Fund Settlement, Financial Booking, and Post-Deal Control to maintain smooth workflow across the department.
Assist in supervising all routine work associated with global market settlement operations, ensuring strict adherence to internal strategies, policies from overseas units, circulars, AML guidelines, compliance protocols, and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with the Team Lead to regularly review and enhance operational procedures with the aim of improving overall efficiency and productivity within the team.
Follow established standard operating procedures to ensure full compliance with local regulations as well as Japanese and foreign regulatory requirements including but not limited to AML, DFA, and HKMA-RMS.
Help monitor routine operations within the global market office by providing reliable support to ensure all processes meet required standards.
Prepare ad-hoc reports or participate in special projects as assigned by the Department Head or Team Lead from time to time.
Ensure strict adherence to Service Legal Agreements during business-as-usual activities to uphold service quality standards.

Your background should reflect not only technical proficiency but also a deep appreciation for regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to global markets. Tertiary education or above is required for this position, demonstrating your academic foundation for understanding complex financial concepts.
A minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience working within global market functions ensures you bring practical knowledge of industry best practices.
Comprehensive understanding of global market products coupled with up-to-date awareness of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements is essential for success in this role.
Excellent communication abilities enable you to interact effectively with colleagues across departments while fostering positive working relationships.
Strong interpersonal skills allow you to collaborate harmoniously within a diverse team setting and contribute constructively towards shared goals.
Proficiency in computer applications—particularly advanced Excel skills—will support your ability to manage data accurately and efficiently.
Fluency in both Cantonese and English is necessary for navigating internal communications as well as external regulatory interactions.
