The key objectives for this role are:
- Demonstrates graduate-level understanding of engineering principles, including design methodologies, technical calculations, and industry standards
- Capable of comprehending, interpreting, and applying complex technical information relevant to the engineering discipline
- Effectively translates engineering theory into practical applications across project tasks and deliverables
- Applies standards, processes, and procedures with competence in day-to-day execution of engineering work
- Possesses sound understanding of regulatory frameworks and relevant legislation impacting engineering projects
- Executes assigned tasks confidently within their engineering discipline, ensuring quality and compliance
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and developments within the discipline
- Interprets technical data to suggest optimized design solutions that enhance functionality and cost-efficiency
- Recognizes and adheres to internal policies and procedures influencing project and task execution
- Prepares clear, accurate, and comprehensive written communications, reports, and documentation
- Demonstrates solid general computer literacy with familiarity in specialist engineering software tools
Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Graduate level understanding of Engineering practices, design methods and calculations
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline of engineering
- Demonstrates the application of theory in a practical context
- Graduate level of competence in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution
- Graduate level of knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.
- Graduate level of competence in own discipline in the execution of assigned tasks.
- Graduate level of knowledge of industry and technology development within discipline area
- Ability to comprehend, interpret and prepare applicable technical information and suggest design changes to ensure functional and cost effective results
- Demonstrates awareness of policies and procedures that affect specific job assignments
- Ability to prepare accurate, effective, complete and easily understood written communications and reports
- Good level of general computer literacy and basic familiarity with some relevant specialist engineering software
