

Community Development Facilitator (20 hours per week)
Portfolio: Capability and Capacity Building within the Community and Volunteer Sector

We are currently recruiting a part-time Community Development Facilitator who can work effectively across a broad range of stakeholders in an evolving and growing community environment. This work will largely involve supporting the community and volunteer sector to grow their capacity and capability.
To be successful in this position you will demonstrate experience in:
- Working and/or volunteering in the community and volunteer sector
- Networking
- Community Engagement to establish needs and aspirations
- Facilitating groups, including organising and running meetings and workshops
- Project planning and evaluation
We are looking for a positive, self-motivated person who can motivate others and encourage innovative thinking to generate solutions to community-identified issues and opportunities. Your ability to build rapport and influence will complement your excellent communication skills.
You will need to be well organised and able to manage a workload of diverse priorities to achieve timely outcomes. You will be able to work well as part of a team. You should have been actively involved in a range of communities of interest. Local experience within the Waimakariri District will be an advantage.
