Registration Specialist – Sleep Lab (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Sleep Lab
No weekends or holidays
About the Role
The Sleep Lab is seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer‑focused Registration Specialist to support our fast‑paced clinical environment. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors—ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience from check‑in to check‑out. You will work closely with a dedicated team including registration specialists, medical assistants, nurses, providers, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Provide professional and timely check‑in and check‑out for all patients
Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately
Accurately collect and enter patient demographic, financial, and medical information
Schedule patient appointments and coordinate flow with clinical team members
Explain department/hospital policies, charges, and payment requirements to patients
Validate and enter applicable charges into internal systems
Collect payments and assist with billing‑related questions
Communicate with internal departments; send messages and updates as needed
Support positive patient experiences through empathy, accuracy, and efficiency

Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Strong customer service skills and caring attitude
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
Prior healthcare or medical office experience
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to learn and retain ICD-10 and CPT coding
Ability to interpret insurance information and clinical practices
