Description
The Inside Sales Representative will work under moderate supervision to build and grow designated accounts; achieving overall sales goals as set forth by J&J and AMIG. This position will be responsible for growing the business with established and newly appointed agents.
Job Responsibilities:
Agency Growth Management (75%) – Responsible for sales development calls to assigned accounts to aid account growth by increasing market penetration and product offering. Responsible for knowing Regional/State Sales Strategies. Ultimately responsible for growing assigned accounts to the established goals set by the direct Manager and AMIG.
Training and Development (15%) – The Inside Sales Rep will be responsible for learning and demonstrating a strong knowledge of J&J and AMIG products. Responsible to know the conversion process with AMIG and setting up new agents and on-boarding new accounts with the Modern Link website. Required to work with new accounts to assist with rolling books of business and training agents on web access for both J&J and AMIG websites.
External Account Development (5%) – The Inside Sales Rep will accompany outside reps with travel and blitzes when necessary. They will also assist in business development plans, and other strategic imperatives. This position will work with the Marketing Team to make preliminary calls to qualify leads.
Other Duties (5%)
- Achieve objectives for production and profitability on assigned accounts, including objectives related to written premium, loss ratio, retention, pricing, and service.
- Weekly Reporting of sales calls and activities planned and completed
- Must have and maintain valid driver’s license and be eligible for company auto insurance.

- Code consolidations
- Internal user cleanup
- Appointments
- Sales Calls to Agency Partners Weekly
- Any other duties as assigned
Education and Work Experience:
- One to three years of customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or any combination of education and experience that will help this position excel
- Previous insurance experience is a plus

Typical Physical Demands:
- · Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional stooping, and reaching; May require lifting-up to 25 pounds; requires normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.
- · Will require some travel to outside agencies & conferences and therefore will need a valid driver’s license.
