We are looking for an experienced Medior Test Automator to support digital transformation projects within a large public-sector IT environment.
In this role, you will help implement and expand automated testing practices across multiple development teams and projects. You will work closely with developers, architects, analysts, and testers to ensure high software quality through scalable, reusable, and maintainable automated testing solutions.
A strong quality mindset, experience with test automation frameworks, and hands-on knowledge of Leapwork are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts

Analyse stories and assess testability within Agile teams
-
Define prerequisites for test automation, including:

Test data
-
Tooling
-
Environment setup
-
Technical adaptations
-
Create modular and reusable automated tests within existing frameworks
-
Support continuous regression testing throughout the development lifecycle
-
Detect, report, and follow up on quality issues and defects
-
Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects, and stakeholders
-
Help define and implement project-level test automation strategies
-
Support teams in adopting automation best practices

Coach analysts and testers on:

Creating automation scripts
-
Running automated tests
-
Analysing and interpreting results
-
Contribute to improving testing processes and quality standards
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 5 years' experience as Test Automator
Minimum 3 years' experience testing business-critical applications
Experience with formal testing methods and techniques
Experience testing enterprise applications and system integrations
Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience with Leapwork
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Experience documenting and reporting automated testing results
Knowledge of SOAP and REST APIs for testing purposes
Dutch proficiency at CEFR C2 level
Nice to Have

Experience with Gherkin / Cucumber scripting

Experience with SOAP UI, ReadyAPI, or Postman
