About the Team
Children and Families provide integrated programs that support all children, young people, and their families in Tasmania.
The Child Safety Service (CSS) is integral to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people who are at risk or in crisis, in Tasmania. We protect children and young people by working with young people, their families, community, and non-government support agencies, to strengthen the capacity of families and individuals to provide adequate support, care, and safety to children.
The Advice and Referral Line (ARL) is a contact point for people seeking information, advice and assistance if they have concerns about a child and their family. The service provides information and advice about service options and other approaches for responding to the needs of children and families.
The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) will from time to time require the services of employees for specified fixed-term and relief basis in a number of skill areas and disciplines. Such appointments fill a valuable role in complementing the existing permanent workforce.
A fixed-term and casual employment register is not a vacancy and inclusion on a register does not guarantee any offer of employment will be made.
