PRN Touch-Up Painter
Position Summary
The PRN Touch-Up Painter is responsible for maintaining the appearance of resident apartments and common areas throughout our independent living senior community. This position focuses on apartment touch-up painting, wall repairs, refreshing community spaces, and preparing vacant apartments for new resident move-ins. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail, and helping create a clean, welcoming environment for residents and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform touch-up painting in vacant apartments and common areas throughout the community
- Patch and repair minor drywall damage, nail holes, dents, and wall imperfections
- Prepare apartment and common area walls for painting including sanding, caulking, and priming as needed
- Match paint colors and finishes for seamless repairs
- Ensure apartments and community spaces are clean, fresh, and move-in ready for incoming residents
- Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding areas during painting projects
- Maintain painting supplies, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
- Report larger maintenance or safety concerns to the Maintenance Director
- Follow all community safety policies and OSHA guidelines
- Work cooperatively with maintenance, housekeeping, and move-in teams to meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous residential or commercial painting experience preferred
- Knowledge of wall repair, patching, and paint application techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to safely use ladders, painting tools, and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, climbing, and kneeling
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Experience in senior living, hospitality, apartment turnover, or facility management is a plus
Schedule
- PRN / As Needed position
- Typically a few shifts per month based on apartment turnover and community needs
- Flexible scheduling available

- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Working knowledge of OSHA compliance and laws
- Construction experience in coordinating building repairs.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
