Compass Health Center is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing organization. This position will report to our Director of Information Technology and will be responsible for developing and maintaining the computing systems used to deliver our clinical care and its increased reliance on technology.
This role is an onsite role based in Northbrook, IL. This is not a remote role.

The Senior Systems Engineer will play an integral role in our day-to-day operations as well as supporting the growth of both virtual working staff and additional facility-based services.

Your primary duties and responsibilities will include
- Support a Windows/M365/Azure environment with an emphasis on Azure AD/AADDS, M365 cloud services and Windows server functionality
- Administer the Azure Tenant with a focus on availability, security, health and optimization
- Administer Microsoft Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online. This includes provisioning of sites and services, managing permissions and configuration of features and monitoring the overall health of these services
- Responsible for administration of Intune to manage mobile devices
- Ensure security, governance, and compliance for the Azure/M365 platform
- Manage VMWare vSphere 6.7 infrastructure including - hardware installations, software server deployments, systems updates, and Veeam backup & replication
- Manage and maintain an HA enterprise environment to ensure an uptime of 99.9%
- Develop solutions for monitoring infrastructure, services, and applications hosted on-prem and in the cloud
- Diagnose and resolve system and infrastructure problems quickly
- Strong knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, LAN / DMZ / WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing Protocols, Switching and Firewalls
- Responsible for system patching/updates on a regular basis
- Ensure all data is backed up and secured
- Provide 24x7 on-call support
Qualifications for this position include
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable
- 5+ years of systems deployment, server migration, Microsoft server upgrades, and systems integration
- 5+ years proven work experience administering M365/O365 environments
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMWare platform.
- Hands on experience with M365 configuration and migrations (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD)
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and core elements: Active Directory, Federation Services, DNS, Mail Flow and Connectors, Outlook configuration, SMTP, SSL/TLS
- Advanced proficiency with vSphere, vSAN, vCloud Director, and other VMware products and platforms
- Experience with MFA and SSO identity and authentication systems, such as Azure AD, ADFS, or SAML
- Experience with automation tools and scripting, including PowerShell, to manage and automate M365 services
- Preferred professional IT certifications, such as: VMWare VCP, Azure Solutions Architect
