Objectives and Purpose of the Job:
- The collection and disbursement of cash and cheques; preparation of lodgements with accuracy; preparation of Small Farmers’ payment for submission to the Accounts Department.
- Collate and maintain the integrity of all information for efficient and effective administration of the processes.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To collect cash for purchases from the farm and provide receipts to customers.
- To prepare cash and cheque lodgements for collection and lodgement by the Cash Collection Service as per Company policy.
- To manage petty cash float; cash payments and reimbursements
- To encash approved petty cash vouchers
- To prepare entry log receipt. Record and maintain record of all cheques received and disbursed.
- To reconcile lunch chit sales.
- To verify customer information (identity) and disburse payments - employees/small farmers/contractors
- To compile Small Farmers’ milk sale data and preparing cheques for their payment.
- To prepare daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly transaction reports to include Small Farmers.
- To maintain accurate filed records of all transactions to include Small Farmers.
- To participate in housekeeping, food safety and general safety initiatives as required by the Company.
- Perform other assigned related duties as required by Supervisor
Late work may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, and or holidays.
Requirements
Academic/Technical/Management: Experience and Qualifications:
- Five (5) CSEC subjects including Mathematics, English Language and Accounts
- One (1) Year related experience
Abilities; Skills; Experience; Aptitude and Judgement:
- Disciplined, meticulous and ethically sound
- Ability to exercise good time management and to determine work priorities to meet deadline
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact at all levels
- Good command of English language, reading writing and speaking

I.E. - Concentrate on ‘soft skills’ particularly where these are not available locally.
