Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will mainly support the accounting department in supplier accounting, invoice processing, payments, reconciliations and daily accounting controls..
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Processing and booking supplier invoices in the accounting system.
- Preparing and issuing client invoices in a timely and accurately manner.
- Preparing and executing supplier and expense payments.
- Performing reconciliations of supplier, invoicing and payment accounts and investigating differences.
- Monitoring aged balances and follow-up on outstanding items and queries.
- Assisting in monthly closing activities, accounting controls and VAT reviews related to invoices.
- Maintaining proper accounting documentation and filling.
- Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers regarding accounting and invoicing matters.
- Assisting the Finance team with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks.
Requirements
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Have 1 to 3 years of accounting experience.
- Have a good understanding of accounting principles.
- Have knowledge of supplier accounting / accounts payable is considered an advantage.
- Are experienced user of Excel (handling large datasets, reconciliations, analysis).
- Have excellent command of English language. Knowledge of French is considered an advantage.
- Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Can work accurately under deadlines.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and deliver information in a clear, concise and comprehensive manner, collaborative spirit, agility, and can-do attitude.
