Location: San Diego, CA | Type: Full-Time | Pay: $24/hr + (based off experience)
As a Back Counter Parts Associate at Toyota San Diego, you play a key role in supporting the service department by assisting technicians with accurate and timely parts fulfillment. This position is responsible for pulling and processing parts orders, maintaining inventory organization, and ensuring efficient communication between the parts and service teams. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist technicians with parts requests and recommendations
- Pull, fill, and process parts orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain organized inventory and stay current on product updates
- Communicate with service advisors, vendors, and internal departments professionally
- Notify management of out-of-stock parts or materials needing immediate attention
- Process special order parts and maintain back-order and will-call files
- Ensure all internal parts requests are billed correctly on repair orders
- Maintain organized records including invoices, repair orders, and special-order documentation
- Assist with stocking, shipping/receiving, and lifting parts up to 50 pounds as needed
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum 2 years of Toyota counter experience
- Experience using Snap-on or dealership parts systems preferred
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
