- Ensure all activities meet or exceed safety protocols. Implement and review safety policies and standards.
- Ensure timely installation and upkeep of equipment and systems for operational effectiveness and efficiency
- Assign technicians based on operational requirements, prioritizing based on urgency, and availability of resources, materials and equipment
- Manage, lead, mentor, train and supervise department team members including all personnel decisions, key metrics, and performance.
- Interact effectively with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks and timing with affected teams working closely with leadership from other areas.
- Ensure maintenance of records and documentation meets requirements and regulations
- Conducts root cause analysis of equipment failures and implements fix or changes.
- Ensure timely inspections.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- AOS degree (2 years) in technical discipline preferred.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred
- At least 3 factory maintenance experience
- Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics.
- Solid working knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical processes related to manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook.
- Strong command of English language, both verbal and written
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
This position is primarily a day-shift position but will supervise employees on both day and night shifts, necessitating some amount of off-shift presence in the plant. Additionally, the nature of the work requires some amount of phone calls and urgent call-ins after hours and at times, on weekends.
Because this is considered a “safety sensitive” role, this position is subject to preemployment drug testing as well as random drug testing.
