The Role:
This role reports to the Senior EHS Manager, Korea, and is responsible for implementing and continuously improving Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, international standards, and Entegris Corporate EHS requirements.
As a member of the JangAn Site EHS team, this position works collaboratively with site leadership, Entegris Corporate EHS, and the Korea EHS team to ensure EHS compliance, maintain site-level certifications, and proactively identify, prevent, and resolve potential EHS risks and issues. The role also partners closely with plant stakeholders to integrate EHS requirements into project planning and implementation.
This position is located at the JangAn Plant.
In this role you will:
Health & Safety Management
Lead and support the implementation of site-level Health & Safety programs to prevent injuries, occupational illnesses, and unsafe conditions.
Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments for manufacturing processes, equipment, and non-routine activities.
Develop, implement, and maintain high-risk activity programs, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, and Contractor Safety.
Support occupational health initiatives related to industrial hygiene, ergonomics, noise, chemical exposure, and medical surveillance.
EHS Management Systems & Certifications
Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site EHS Management System in alignment with ISO 14001/45001 requirements.
Coordinate site activities to ensure successful maintenance of ISO 14004/45001 certification, including internal audits, external certification audits, and corrective action management.
Support compliance with Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct requirements related to Health & Safety.
Prepare for and support RBA audits and assessments, including documentation control, gap analysis, and corrective action tracking.
Regulatory & Standards Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, national, and regional EHS laws and regulations, including the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
Maintain EHS documentation, permits, records, and metrics required by regulatory agencies, international standards, and corporate requirements.
Support regulatory inspections, third-party audits, and interactions with government authorities and certification bodies.
Incident Prevention & Investigation
Lead or participate in incident, near-miss, and hazard investigations using root cause analysis methodologies.
Develop, implement, and track corrective and preventive actions to closure, ensuring effectiveness and sustainability.
Analyze EHS performance data and trends to proactively drive injury, illness, and incident reduction.
Training & Safety Culture
Develop and deliver EHS-related training programs for employees, supervisors, and contractors, including site orientation, job-specific safety training, and standard-based training (ISO 14001/45001, RBA-related requirements).
Promote a strong safety culture by engaging employees and leaders in proactive EHS initiatives.
Support and reinforce Stop Work Authority (SWA) and employee participation programs.
Project & Site Support
Provide EHS technical guidance and support for new equipment installations, process changes, and capital projects.
Participate in Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure EHS risks are evaluated and mitigated prior to implementation.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and other site functions to integrate EHS and certification requirements into daily operations.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with Entegris Corporate EHS and the Korea EHS team to align site practices with corporate standards, ISO 14001/45001, and RBA requirements.
Support internal and external EHS audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Share best practices and lessons learned across sites to enhance overall EHS and compliance performance.
Supporting external audit response (ISO14001&45001, RBA, Customer, Authority)

Preferred Qualifications
Industrial Safety Engineer Certificate(산업안전기사, 산업안전산업기사)
Industrial Health Engineer Certificate(산업보건기사 자격증)
High-pressure gas Engineer Certificate (고압가스기사, 고압가스산업기사)
Industrial Engineer Hazardous material (위험물기능사, 위험물 산업기사, 위험물기능장)
10+ years' experience working on EHS compliance and/or programs in multinational companies.
Bachelor’s degree on Safety, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Korean EHS regulatory compliance
Working knowledge of Chemical Control Act, GHS requirements, and Toxic Chemicals Control Act
Experience supporting or maintaining ISO 14001/45001 and/or RBA certifications
Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
