The LEGO Group is looking for a passionate and experienced leader to partner with our Group Chief Operations Officer (COO) and lead our cross-functional strategic projects. This is a critical leadership role based out of our Global Headquarters in Billund, Denmark.

Core Responsibilities
This is a senior position that plays a dual role:
As a Strategy Partner, COO, you will work closely with the LEGO Group Chief Operations Officer and his team to drive the Operations strategic agenda, including:
Constructively challenge and provide sparring to the COO and his leadership team to improve leadership decisions.
Translate the Operations strategy into simple and clear communication for the COO to share with his senior leadership team and broader organisation.
Prepare materials on behalf of the COO that go to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board of Directors (BoD) for input and decision-making.
Ensure the strategic initiatives progress and track well.
Support the COO to ensure his leadership team meetings are run well with clear pre-reads and log of actions.
As the Head of Strategic projects and a member of the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) leadership team, you will drive cross-functional projects and lead a team of 6-8 passionate strategy professionals. You will help build up the talent pipeline for S&T and the LEGO Group through recruiting, onboarding and developing talent.
This role will require strong collaboration with the rest of the S&T Leadership Team and the other Strategy Partners, with the COO Leadership Team and rest of the LEGO Group.

The Strategy & Transformation team drives the Corporate Strategy development & value realisation, working on major strategic priorities and transformation initiatives for the LEGO Group.
We are uniquely positioned as a central team working closely with the senior leadership team on cross-functional priorities.
Do you have what it takes?
The successful candidate comes with a Masters’ degree in Economics, Business Administration/ Management, Engineering or a similar field combined with significant professional experience. This includes:
Substantial experience from a top-tier management consultancy.
Significant experience in Operations
Additional experience in FMCG and/or Retail within the business development or strategy teams is a plus
A proven track record of delivering critical strategic projects and initiatives; ability to easily shift between abstract strategic discussions and operational details to drive projects including scoping, analysis and recommendations.
A strategic mind-set coupled with top-notch quantitative and analytical skills that allow you to extract logic, insights and meaningful conclusions from complex business problems.
Excellent communication skills, ability to develop compelling presentations for the ELT and Board of Directors.
A ‘can do’-attitude to ensure things are acted upon in a fast-paced environment.
