Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Professional Licensure in your discipline (LMSW, LPC, etc)
- At least 5 years experience including a minimum of one providing behavioral health services to youth
- Experience supervising clinicians
Duties and Responsibilities
- Engages individuals and families in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of stage of readiness and phase of treatment.
- Assigns and supervises the caseload of direct reports staff. Assists staff as required to manage caseload efficiently.
- Reviews cases to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services rendered. Conducts staff meetings to review strengths, outcomes, problem areas and plan solutions.
- Assists staff in improving and updating professional skills by providing them with information such as pertinent conferences and seminars, new techniques in the field and current and pending legislation affecting mental health services. Orients, trains, and develops new staff.
- Monitors case records, including signatures, and follow up and referral of individuals to community agencies to aid in an accurate history. Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with Medicaid & DCH, & Easterseals guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrates the ability to identify stage of change and use interventions consistent with stage of treatment. Assist staff in developing strength-based, stage wise treatment matched person centered plans that are designed to address identified individual needs. Able to provide resources for integrated treatment including self-help and peer support.
