Main challenge
Bringing a cozy life-sim fantasy to life through content, by tightly integrating narrative, systems, and world-building - moving beyond scripted quests into emergent, player-driven experiences.
What it means on a daily basis
- Bring together art, design, narrative and sound to reinforce the main themes of the game
- Work with game designers and narrative designers to implement story content directly in the game (quests, environments, interactions)
- Work with artists to shape and give life to characters
- Use gameplay and systems to convey story - not just dialogue and text
- Design and iterate on a more systemic quest approach, tied to gameplay systems rather than linear scripting
- Write and implement dialogue and in-game text where needed
What success will look like
- Players stop relying on quests as instructions and start forming their own goals
- Narrative is felt through gameplay and the world, not just delivered through dialogue
- Content does not break when systems evolve - it scales with them
- The world, companions, and NPCs operate as elements of a single interconnected system rather than as isolated layers
- We reduce dependency on “go there, do that” quest structures

- First interview: HR discussion

- Final interview: Discussion with Bucharest’s creation studio manager
Where this role can take you
- Senior / Lead Content Designer

- Ownership of larger game pillars (systems + narrative integration)
- Opportunity to shape a new IP and long-term live product
Qualifications
What you need to succed
- Demonstrated ability to design quests and narrative systems for games
- Clear understanding of systemic design vs scripted content
- Experience integrating narrative into gameplay systems and environments
- Ability to write clear, engaging dialogue and in-game text
- Experience working with game engines / implementation tools
- Shipped at least one title with narrative or content ownership
Who you are
- Skilled at both design and narrative thinking, not just one side
- Comfortable working in a setup where things change often and are not fully defined
- Able to simplify complex ideas into something players immediately understand
- Used to working closely with multiple disciplines and aligning them
- Opinionated about what works and what doesn’t - not just executing
