The Logistics Operations Manager (LOM) manages the overall logistics of one or more categories and owns performance metrics to meet the operational needs of the logistics function. This role ensures operational activities adhere to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and Intel's standard operating guidelines, while driving Operational Excellence, supplier performance, and execution stability across warehouse and factory interface operations.
The role includes end-to-end responsibility for capital warehouse operations within bonded and Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) environments, ensuring compliant, scalable, and uninterrupted material flow to manufacturing and site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage logistics operations for inbound, interplant, and outbound materials, equipment, and finished goods.
Manage capital warehouse operations, including bonded and LMW regulated warehouses, ensuring full compliance with legal, regulatory, and Intel requirements.
Provide dock operations ownership to support site startup, ramp, and steady state logistics execution.
Monitor and drive performance against logistics KPIs, compliance requirements, and operational standards across warehouses and factory interfaces.
Analyze logistics processes and data to identify inefficiencies, defects, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Track, escalate, and resolve shipping, warehouse, carrier, and execution exceptions to ensure continuity of deliveries.
Manage critical logistics escalations, minimizing impact to operations and customer service.
Partner closely with cross functional teams and external logistics providers to ensure seamless execution and supplier performance.
Utilize analytical and digital tools to develop logistics solutions that optimize cost, speed, quality, and reliability.
Provide regular updates to senior leaders on schedule, scope, cost, risk, and execution readiness.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics operations or 3PL management, preferably in high volume or ramp environments, with demonstrated ability to operate independently in ambiguous and fast changing conditions.
Good knowledge of Malaysia customs regulations and experience working with local customs and brokers.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, bonded/LMW compliance, and supplier governance, with a track record of owning execution end to end.
Proficiency in SAP/WMS systems, inventory control, and performance metric tracking, with the ability to self identify issues and drive corrective actions.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ownership in translating data into decisions and sustained operational improvements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across global teams and drive outcomes without dependency on close supervision.
