The NPI Program Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end introduction of new products from concept through full-scale production. This role serves as the central point of coordination across departments to ensure successful product launches that meet customer expectations, cost targets, and timeline commitments.
What You’ll Do
Lead the full lifecycle of new product introduction (NPI) programs from kickoff through production ramp and handoff
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables across cross-functional teams
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers during product launch phases
Coordinate design reviews, feasibility assessments, and risk mitigation activities (DFMEA/PFMEA)
Partner with engineering teams to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and cost efficiency
Work closely with supply chain to secure materials, qualify suppliers, and mitigate supply risks
Lead pilot builds, validation runs, and production readiness activities
Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
Monitor program budgets, tooling investments, and cost targets
Identify and proactively resolve project risks, delays, or resource constraints
Facilitate regular program reviews and provide status updates to leadership and customers
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance NPI processes and execution efficiency
Lead post-launch reviews and ensure successful transition to production teams
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
3+ years of experience in program management, project management, or engineering within a manufacturing environment
Proficient in project management tools and methodologies
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision making skills
Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949
PMP certification preferred but not required
