What you'll be doing:
Location: PIETERMARITZBURG, COLENSO, ESCOURT, ASHBURTON, HOWICK, WINTERTON
Fixed Term Contract until March 2027
As a Zone Manager, you will drive sales performance across your region by turning strategy into action on the ground. You’ll work closely with Sales Leaders to deliver campaigns, track performance, and ensure strong execution across your zone. This is a highly hands‑on role where you’ll balance people leadership, commercial delivery, and operational excellence. You’ll coach and develop your network, build strong relationships, and use data to guide decisions, helping your team achieve targets while strengthening engagement, capability, and long‑term growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Executing campaigns and field strategies to deliver sales and growth targets.
- Managing performance through regular 1:1 meetings, KPI tracking, and data analysis.
- Building and implementing action plans to improve results and mitigate risks.
- Driving recruitment, activation, and development of Sales Leaders and Representatives.
- Leading field engagement through campaign launches, meetings, and training activities.
- Supporting talent development through coaching, training, and recognition initiatives.
- Using digital tools and reports to monitor performance and identify opportunities.
- Managing operational processes including reporting, forecasting, and administrative tasks.
- Acting as the link between Sales Leaders and the wider business to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Promoting Avon’s brand, values, and products across your network.
What we're looking for:
- 5–10 years of experience in sales, ideally within FMCG, retail, direct selling, or distribution.
- Proven track record of delivering sales growth and achieving targets.
- Experience managing and developing teams, including coaching and performance management.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to interpret data to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to manage a geographically spread network and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- A proactive, resilient, and results‑driven mindset with strong organisational skills.
- Confidence to lead, motivate, and inspire others while working collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness to be based within the designated zone and actively engage with the field.
