St. Jerome Emiliani Foster Care Program provides residential services to immigrant and refugee youth through the care of foster parents, supported by program staff. In addition to residential services, youth are provided medical and mental health care, educational services, recreation opportunities, among others. Youth are provided guidance toward self-sufficiency so that they may be successful post discharge from the program.
The Case Aide is directly assigned to the St. Jerome Emiliani Foster Care Program case management department. The Case Aide ensures that case managers can effectively support the clients by providing them with the necessary resources, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with administrative tasks. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with the team will contribute to the overall success of the program and the well-being of the clients.
What you Deliver
Research and gather information about various resources and referrals available to clients and their families, such as support services, counseling, educational programs, healthcare facilities, and community organizations. Maintain an up-to-date and organized list of these resources to facilitate easy access and efficient assistance for case managers and clients.
Collaborate with local community organizations to provide appropriate resources to clients and their families.
Asist with maintaining consistent communication with foster parents and youth regarding independent living skills to be reinforced in the foster home. The Case Aide may also provide assistance to youth and foster parents in the home community environment in an individualized, one-on-one basis as needed.
Work in close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of case management, education, legal, and other program staff. Offer skill building impressions and recommendations during staffing of cases with treatment team members. Contribute to the overall service planning of the care of the youth. Also, attends and participates in staff meetings, and Stakeholder’s meetings hosted by ORR. Attends and participates in individual supervision meetings with supervisor.
Prepare physical client binders with relevant information, including personal details, case history, and assessment reports. Organize the binder in a clear and structured manner for easy reference and retrieval of information.
Assist with the closure and review of physical case files by conducting file audits to ensure compliance with program standards and regulations.
Ensure that all necessary documents, reports, case notes, and forms are accurately filed in each client's case file in accordance with the expected timeframes and requirements of the program.
Help with data entry and record-keeping, ensuring that all information is accurately entered into the program's database and ETO system.
Provide ongoing administrative and case support to case managers.
Collaborate with other team members to coordinate services and support for the clients.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive client information and adhere to ethical guidelines.
Attend all organizational required trainings and facilitate trainings as needed.
Attend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or provided and to ensure that changes to policy or practice are implemented and adhered to.
Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
QualificationsThe Expertise We're Looking For
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
One (1) year of experience providing child welfare services or case management
Valid Texas Driver’s License

Experience and competency with Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel and Access databases, telephone, calculator, fax machine, automobiles, and copier.
