The HSE Risk Manager supports the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) risk management framework. This role is responsible for operational oversight, risk analysis, and compliance support to ensure safe and sustainable operations. The manager will work closely with operations, compliance, and integrity teams to apply risk controls and enhance safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management & Operational Support
- Assist in the execution of HSE risk management strategies and initiatives.
- Support the development and maintenance of HSE management systems, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and collaborate on the classification of unplanned events using the company’s risk matrix.
- Monitor and support compliance with exposure control plans and ensure timely closure of RCALs.
- Facilitate Operational Risk Assessments (ORAs) and Workplace Mapping activities.
Incident & Emergency Preparedness
- Participate in emergency response planning and readiness activities.
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis as needed.
- Maintain and update emergency response documentation including MERPs, Safety Cases, and contingency plans.
Compliance & Communication
- Ensure risk management practices align with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Marine and Operations teams to meet flag and local compliance standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders on HSE risk matters.
Data & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze HSE data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to the development of performance metrics and reporting tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in HSE or operational risk management, preferably in offshore or energy sectors.
- Familiarity with HSE management systems and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
