Position Summary
We are seeking a
Carpentry Apprentice who is eager to learn the craft of carpentry and production. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow within a stable, rewarding trade career. This is a hands-on position involving training and daily work in our workshop, with the chance to work in/around homes in Fredericksburg & Stafford.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the job site on time in Kitchen Tune-Up uniform and appropriate workwear.
- Follow directions from the Shop Foreman and/or Project Manager.
- Measure, cut, and assemble cabinet components accurately using provided plans.
- Safely and efficiently operate power and hand tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete daily cleanup and assist with loading/unloading tools and materials.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to read a tape measure and take accurate measurements.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs safely.
- Demonstrated ability to safely use the following tools:
- Table saw
- Planer
- Jointer
- Miter saw

Assorted hand tools (drivers, hammers, clamps, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Must maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with clients.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Experience with design or technical programs such as CAD, CAM, or CNC.
- Familiarity with paint, stains, or laminate materials.
- Previous experience in cabinetry, woodworking, or construction.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
