About The Role
Define and execute the labor relations strategy, ensuring legal compliance, effective conflict management, and constructive engagement with social partners, thereby contributing to operational stability and the protection of the business.
Employee Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, unions, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve workplace conflicts and grievances in a timely and effective manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Company representation: Lead and coordinate the defense of the company’s interests in labor and administrative proceedings, including interactions with the Labour Inspectorate.
Policy Development: Assist in creating and updating labor relations policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with legal requirements and best practices.
Negotiations: Lead and participate in negotiations with unions and employee representatives, including collective bargaining agreements, to reach mutually beneficial outcomes.
Compliance: Ensure that labor relations activities comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to, labor standards, health and safety regulations, and anti-discrimination laws.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports to senior management on labor relations activities, trends, and issues.
Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor to management on labor relations matters, providing expert advice to support informed decision-making.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in labor relations or a related field, within the energy, construction or infrastructure industry.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining processes, collective agreements (Construction and Metal Industry) and conflict resolution strategies.
Experience in international labor relations (Chile, US, Australia) is considered a plus.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex labor relations issues.
Language: High level of English.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Team Player: Strong team orientation with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
