The Quality Control Inspector II is responsible for performing quality inspections throughout the production process, including line clearances, line releases, raw material inspections, and verification of in-process and finished products to ensure specifications are met. This role supports compliance and quality standards by reviewing documentation, performing scale calibration checks, assisting with non-conforming inventory disposition, and identifying and resolving quality-related issues. The QC Inspector II works closely with Operations and cross-functional teams to communicate inspection results, support issue resolution, and maintain accuracy within inventory systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Performs Line Clearances and line Releases
- Inspects and releases incoming raw materials and components
- Releases in process materials to the manufacturing operation.
- Assists with proper disposition of non-compliance inventory.
- Assists with reporting and resolution of defective materials.
- Verifies in-process and finished products to ensure specifications are met.
- Verifies that product weights meet specifications.
- Work with the Operations team to resolve issues.
- Interacts with other departments to communicate testing results.
- Must be willing and able to work the day or evening shift as backup.
- Performs daily weight calibration checks of production scales.
- Performs other support functions as assigned.
- Ability to use, find and address any issues within inventory system
- Able to perform job duties with moderate supervision of senior Quality personnel
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook (or similar) and comfortable working in Microsoft
Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Previous Quality Assurance experience in an EPA/FDA environment preferred.
- Ability to work independently, detail oriented, desire to learn, ability to work on multiple
projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Computer skills and use of databases for specifications.
- Self-motivated and action-oriented with ability to work independently and work cross
functionally across departments with strong display of collaboration
- 1-3 years of experience in QA production related role or equivalent
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA,
FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or
quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal,
state and local standards.
