$130,842.00 - $209,347.00This position is responsible to lead the strategic development of the AMHS Employee Health Operations (EHO). This will include the operational initiatives for each facility to include but not be limited to the development of a system-wide electronic medical record system, and standardized policies and procedures. The creation of a system partnership with an emphasis on operational performance, quality, customer service, and regulatory compliance will be essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direction and oversight for system-wide Employee health functions.
Responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of a system-wide Employee Health and Occupational Medicine electronic medical record system. This includes planning, stakeholder engagement and communication related to the impact of the system for the program’s success.
Use an adaptive thought process to represent Employee health system-wide at the organizational level to support initiatives that provide for financial, quality, and operational growth.
Drive high reliability through the standardization of onboarding and annual regulatory requirements.
Strategic planning for long-range growth and program development at the system level by developing policies and procedures that coordinate with a partnership with other system departments such as Infection Prevention, Safety, Medical Staff office, and Human Resources.
Responsible for the oversight of Employee health-related compliance, quality, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, DNV, NYS DOH, FDA, NYS WCB) across all sites.
Oversees the coordination and preparation for onsite regulatory visits
Develop a strategy for consistently managing a system-wide approach to the Workers Compensation program.
Support and lead a work climate that supports innovation and growth across the system units.
Provides leadership, evaluation and support for the Employee health management from each campus.
Develops and manages annual budget to achieve financial parameters effectively and efficiently.
Provides periodic progress reports on the performance of the EHO to the Board of Governors, Cabinet and other audiences as appropriate.

Qualifications:
Advanced degree in business or healthcare related field - required
8-10 years of relevant experience in occupational and employee health medicine - required
5-7 years of management experience - required
Excellent communication and personal interaction abilities with staff and leadership positions.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to provide operational leadership and motivate staff.
Ability to set direction and vision for major departments/multiple departments. Establishes priorities.
Ability to address problems that are broad, complex and abstract to include issues requiring creativity, resourcefulness, staff engagement, lean techniques, negotiation and diplomacy to develop system wide solutions.
Ability to lead and direct multiple collaborative teams for large projects or groups both internal and external to the system and across functional areas.
Current NYS license in appropriate healthcare field - required
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
