At F-Secure, our mission is to safeguard digital lives — and quality is at the heart of how we deliver on it. We're looking for a Test Lead to own and evolve our testing strategy across feature, API, manual, release, and performance testing. In this role, you'll help ensure our consumer cybersecurity products — trusted by millions across iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS — not only work flawlessly but also scale, perform, and delight. You'll be working on innovative features like AI-powered protection and custom partner configurations, with direct impact on the experiences we deliver to our partners and their customers globally.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you'll collaborate with developers and QA Engineers across time zones. This is a technical leadership role without direct reports — you'll set the standard and mentor through influence, embedding end-to-end testing into our development practices. The growth runway is significant: from becoming F-Secure's go-to quality expert to expanding into test architecture, solution consulting, or AI-in-testing leadership, while contributing to organisation-wide quality improvements and strategy.
This role is based at our Bratislava office, with a hybrid working model. We'd love to see you in the office around 1–2 days a week to collaborate with the team, with flexibility for the rest.
Our estimated salary range for this role is €2,600 to €3,800 per month, based on your experience and skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and own comprehensive test strategies across feature, API, regression, and performance testing (load, stress, endurance), defining scope and priorities for each release cycle
- Lead manual test execution and coordinate release readiness, ensuring quality gates are met and deployment risks minimised
- Collaborate with cross-functional development teams throughout the sprint lifecycle — planning, reviews, and continuous improvement of QA practices
- Track and communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders, providing clear visibility into product quality and release confidence
- Drive test automation improvements and contribute to performance validation tools to increase efficiency and coverage
- Expand expertise in cutting-edge practices including AI-based testing, CI/CD integrations, security testing, and scalability validation
What are we looking for?
- Strong testing expertise across functional and performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner), with proven ability to identify edge cases and regression scenarios through manual testing
- Technical proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting
- Experience defining comprehensive test plans, strategies, and coverage models aligned with product goals
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and QA's role within them (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Independent ownership mindset — able to take full responsibility for test planning and execution while collaborating effectively across global teams
- Strong communication skills to explain complex test results to developers and product stakeholders, with full professional proficiency in English
