What you'll be doing
You will be joining CIBC’s Enterprise Payments Technology – Intria Applications team, where you will provide critical technical expertise during production issues, both during and outside of business hours. In this role, you will be responsible for the functional design and development of application systems across a variety of technologies and platforms. You will consult with senior management on a broad range of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements into effective process and data solutions that have a significant impact on the business. Additionally, you will offer technical leadership by developing detailed steps and processing logic to ensure that system specifications align with business objectives. This position also involves providing comprehensive, senior-level technical consulting to other IT leaders and senior technical teams within the organization.

How you'll succeed
Strategic Development & Execution: Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. Understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology roadmap. Design and document the technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces and integrations. Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet both business objectives and the goal of operational efficiency.
Application Production Support: Identify and resolve production issues for a Tier 1 - Critical application in a timely manner. Work with the support team and provide required updates to the management during the issue. Also, work on a permanent solution and bring in ideas to remediate and eliminate the production issues.
Strategy and Roadmap: Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements
Who you are
You can demonstrate 6+ years’ experience in overall IT with production support . Strong technical knowledge on SAS, Azure cloud Redhat Linux, IBM MQ/Kafka, SQL/Oracle DB, No SQL DB, data lake concept and understanding of Web technologies like Java, Springboot, Node JS etc. Strong knowledge on Microservice (Redhat Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker) architecture and containerization platform and File Transfer software and scheduling software like Autosys. Experience building and integrating with external systems using SOAP/REST APIs; knowledge of different Single Sign-On implementation is an asset. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, GitHub Actions and Artifactory is advantageous. Should have experience in handling production support for Tier 1 application. Preferable in banking domain applications. Very strong knowledge of incident, problem and change management process. Willing to work on Infrastructure upgrade activities and support the verification for Infrastructure implementations. Understanding of both SDLC and Agile delivery model and delivering CCR (Currency, Capacity and Refresh). Strong Network and Firewall rules knowledge is an added advantage. Experience in Azure components like Azure ADF, SQL MI, Azure NSG rules etc., basic AI knowledge for automating tasks will be an added advantage.

You have a degree/diploma: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
