Responsibilities
1. Assist coordinating the daily operations, including biologic product deviation notifications and addressing concerns, to ensure tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Supports the timely management of product level investigation under ARC inventory.
3. Coordinate the identification, control, notification and retrieval of suspect products.
4. Identify suspect products by reviewing donor deferral records
5. Perform retrieval activities related to product complaints including bacterial detection cases.
6. May correct, update and verify changes in donor records to ensure appropriate entry and confidential handling of data.
7. May assist with donor reentry and reinstatement.

Full knowledge of job. Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job. Contact within department and occasionally outside of organization.
Qualifications
Education: High School or equivalent required. Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a science or health care field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience in blood banking/ collections, laboratory testing, medical records, auditing, quality review or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: N/A
Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team. The ability to read, write and verbally communicate at the high school to college level is required. Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment is required.

*Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
Physical Requirements
The duties are representative of the essential functions of the position. Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer and applicable software for sustained periods of time.
